Psychedelic punk/power pop band The Mole People will release their phenomenal LP, Lost Age, with Punctum Records on August 12, 2014. The record will be Punctum's first 12" vinyl release after nearly one year of publishing music to a multitude of formats such as 7" & 10" vinyl, flexi disc, CD, cassette, and USB. Lost Age is a labor of analog love - recorded, mixed, mastered, and pressed directly to and from tape without any computer intervention. The result is a collection of songs as warm and familiar as they are against the grain and at the vanguard.
Foundational in the development of the Punctum Records since its inception, The Mole People recently returned from their New York debut as part of The Punctum Records Lost Weekend. An Austin mainstay for nearly five years, The Mole People make music with bite influenced by 13th Floor Elevators, Arthur Brown, Brian Eno, and early punk.
